Oltre a altimetro, bussola e barometro, il Suunto X10 dispone di GPS che permette di definire fino a 500 tappe intermedie (waypoint) lungo uno stesso percorso. Il Suunto X10 può essere impostato in modalità Activity (Attività) così da registrare tutti i dati relativi a velocità, distanza ed altitudine e qualunque altra informazione inserita in memoria durante il percorso. Prestazioni GPS, velocità di localizzazione anche in presenza di una fitta vegetazione e la durata della batteria consentono di navigare agevolmente e in condizioni di totale tranquillità ed affidabilità, sempre a mani libere. Una volta giunti a destinazione, impostare il Suunto X10 in modalità Track Back (Ritorno) per essere guidati sulla via del ritorno.
